Challenge Overcome

The seismic retrofit at the Wharfside Building overlooking McCovey Cove presented us with a unique situation.

The main scope of the work required us to clear, move and reroute over 2000 communication and security cables away from construction areas. It was a complicated job made more so because the building was occupied and tenants could not afford any down time.

We started by mapping every cable from source to destination. Once cables were deactivated and moved, we worked with tenant IT teams to set new routes and assisted in the cutover of active networks to the new cables. Along the way, numerous high-density panels and associated data and ladder racks were also dismantled and reassembled, tested, and reenergized. For the building’s Amenities and Conference Center upgrade, we built new data and AV infrastructure.

Comprehensive planning and a focus on collaboration kept our clients operational and their data safe.
