Design/Build
The majority of projects performed by McMillan Electric are completed using the design/build methodology. The initial electrical engineering and design are performed in house by our project managers. This allows us to add value to the project by assuring building specifications are correct, budgets are met, existing conditions are considered, the schedule is expedited and the owner’s needs are realized. We then subcontract with outside engineering firms for peer review, final engineering and document production. McMillan also provides in-house Auto - CAD capabilities.

High Rise Fire Life Safety Systems
High Rise Fire Life Safety Systems, including smoke detection devices, signaling devices and initiation devices are critical to the operation of any building. We have installed new systems and maintain existing systems in some of San Francisco’s premier buildings. Our installations conform to the current National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and Underwriters Laboratories (UL) codes and standards. We can help you ensure your building meets the latest guidelines.

Renovations/Tenant Improvements
Our expertise in renovations is well established. We bring four decades of experience in historical renovations, simple facelifts, electrical system upgrades, fire alarm system replacements and more. We tailor our work to improving the space in accordance with the particular tenant and building owner’s requirements.

Industrial Controls
Small manufacturing plants around the Bay Area feature different types of control systems – conveyor belts, food processing, etc. We will provide the systems and controls you need to operate your equipment and assure its peak performance.

24-Hour Service
Our service electricians are on call 24/7 covering all Bay Area counties. A typical response time is within two hours. Whether your power is out, the fire alarm went off, someone cut through a cable, or a piece of your equipment simply stopped working. You can rely on McMillan to be there promptly and effectively. After regular business hours and on weekends, our answering service will contact the on-call service personnel.
